Have you figured out your Halloween costume yet? If not, you’re a little behind. According to our data, people start researching Halloween costumes as early as the third week of September — a full six weeks in advance. Even more surprising, it is actually Halloween (not Black Friday) that kicks off the holiday shopping season, with online shopping traffic jumping 260%. As a Data Analyst at Bazaarvoice, I have the unique ability to access our vast amount of shopper data and pull out interesting trends and data points. In the spirit of all things spooky, I used my crystal ball (my computer) to look at our Network’s activity around Halloween. What Halloween costumes did people force their pets to wear last year?
